The Girl on the Piccadilly Line is a freelance writer and education blogger. She lives in London with her husband and their cat Bubbles who, due to lack of demand, does not have a blog. Her days are spent writing, eating cheese, worrying about politics and winning numerous games of scrabble.
“The Girl on the Piccadilly Line” was launched in October 2015 to document the trials, triumphs and tribulations of working in the current education system. The blog struck a chord with teachers around the world and received an overwhelming response in its first year including a UK Blog Award, a TES nomination and the wonderfully surreal moment when Jane Garvey read this piece on sex education on Woman’s Hour.
